Some weddings make you wish you could stay a little longer.
On 1 August 2026, Jasey and Dylan gathered their favourite people at a family cottage on White’s Lake, Ontario, about an hour from Ottawa. The setting was personal. The colours were bold. And their beloved dog, Rover, was part of the story.
The best part? Watching two people feel completely at home with each other.
Two Personalities, One Good Match
Jasey is bright, affectionate, and full of energy. Dylan has a calm confidence that seems to follow him everywhere.
Their wedding outfits told that story beautifully. Jasey wore a white dress covered in vibrant floral details, with a flowing tulle cape. Dylan paired a wine-coloured suit with a yellow tie. Colourful, confident, and entirely themselves.
Getting-ready photographs help bring you back to those first hours: the people beside you, the finishing touches, and the anticipation before everything begins.
Before She Walked Down the Aisle
Jasey shares a strong bond with her dad.
Giving their first look its own space in the story feels right.
On a wedding day, there are moments worth slowing down for. This was one of them.
Before the ceremony, before the larger celebration, there was a chance for a father to see his daughter as a bride.
A Familiar Place, a New Chapter
There is something special about getting married somewhere that already holds family memories.
At White’s Lake, the cottage became the setting for another chapter. Familiar surroundings. Familiar faces. And a ceremony that brought everyone together around Jasey and Dylan.
My priority was to preserve both the promises and the people receiving them: the couple at the centre, and the faces around them that made the gathering matter.
Stories, Laughter, and a Full Dance Floor
During the reception, a groomsman recalled a childhood adventure on the water with Dylan. Conditions were rough. Dylan, apparently, was having the time of his life.
It was a lovely glimpse of the person everyone had gathered to celebrate: the same calm spirit, long before the wedding suit.
Then came the dancing, where Jasey’s energy had plenty of room to shine.
A Day Worth Returning To
Jasey and Dylan, thank you for welcoming me into a place and a celebration so personal to you.
My hope is that these photographs and your film bring you back to more than how everything looked. May they remind you of your people, your laughter, and how it felt to have everyone together.
