National Arts Centre, Ottawa | Supporting Carty House


On February 7th, 2026, the uOttawa Engineering Students Society transformed the iconic National Arts Centre into something more than a ballroom. They turned it into momentum.

The evening was designed to raise funds and awareness for Carty House, an Ottawa organization that supports refugee women rebuilding their lives in Canada. And the engineering community showed up in style.


There was networking. There was laughter. There were sharp suits and elegant dresses moving between tables as students mixed, mingled, and made connections that will likely outlast their degrees.


Dinner did not disappoint. Guests enjoyed flavourful chicken and vegetable options, hearty pasta dishes, and chocolate cake that disappeared quickly. Between courses, speeches grounded the evening in purpose — reminding everyone why the room mattered.


The energy climbed as the night unfolded. An incredible DJ kept the dance floor alive, and Enchanted Photo Booth added another layer of fun, giving guests instant keepsakes alongside the formal coverage.

Events like this are more than a party. They are proof that when leadership, purpose, and community collide — good things happen.
