There’s something powerful about the moment a student becomes an engineer. At the Iron Ring Ceremony, that moment is marked with the issuing of the ring—and a lifetime of responsibility.


Following this milestone, the celebration continued in style at the Wine & Cheese event hosted by the University of Ottawa Engineering Student Society, held at the SITE Building (800 King Edward Ave, Ottawa).

With over 400 attendees, the room carried a steady energy—one that balanced pride, relief, and excitement for what’s next.


Graduates reconnected with classmates, introduced family members, and paused to capture meaningful moments together. These weren’t just photos—they were milestones in motion.


As photographers, our focus was simple:

preserve the in-between moments—the laughter, the handshakes, the quiet reflections.

A Live Band That Reimagined the Soundtrack


One of the standout features of the evening was the live ensemble—a unique blend of brass, wind, and string instruments performing modern-day songs.


It created an elevated, almost cinematic atmosphere. Familiar music, reinterpreted in a refined way, added depth to the experience and made every interaction feel just a little more memorable.

A Live Photo Studio—Because Some Moments Deserve More


In addition to candid coverage, we introduced a live photo studio experience during the event.


Graduates could step away from the crowd and into a clean, professionally lit setup—capturing portraits that felt intentional, polished, and timeless.


This hybrid approach works.

It allows guests to experience the event naturally, while still walking away with images they’re proud to use for LinkedIn, family albums, and beyond.
